Aske Izan marks his Piston Recordings debut with the impressive, Groove’em EP. Born in Villa Gesell, Argentina, Inaki Guillanolegue aka Aske Izan is a musician, producer, and DJ. His talent and love for playing the drums dates back to his early child years, and eventually led him to be a member of several bands before breaking into the world of electronic music. Taking inspiration from Daft Punk, he forged his path as a producer beginning with FL Studio and moving into Ableton Live. He is also the co-founder of the Outsiders Records label that began in Buenos Aires and promotes innovative house music. He is also a member of the Arjaus Academy team of trainers.

Groove’em gets the EP moving, with a solid kick on the intro which is joined by sharp hats and flurries of rhythmic percussions. Vibrant stabs light up the groove as cool vocals weave through. Simplistic for the most part, the break throws up some nice musical elements. A definite floor mover, no doubt. Feets On The Ground delivers a powerfully seductive slice of deep house music. Punchy beats and exotic percussions build a solid framework as deep, subby basses rock the low-end. Short piano stabs are joined by atmospheric pads, luring us into the warm embrace then forcing us to shake the hips, a top-notch cut. The Future Of Music completes the release, keeping that flowing deep sound alive. A solid floor shaker with a robust drum section that gets the rhythm moving, the track is topped with cool chord patterns that tease with subtle elongated notes. An intriguing spoken vocal adds character, making this the perfect injection to any late-night set.
