Emerging as a rising star in the Chilean electronic scene, Nico is swiftly gaining acclaim for his distinctive persona and undeniable musical prowess. His sonic creations have not only captured the spotlight on labels like Happy Techno, Houbless, Jìyu, Offsite, Socialize, and Leuchtturm but have also seen collaborative efforts with notable artists such as Kreech, Mariche, Marco Latrach, Cris Celiz, and more, solidifying his presence in the industry. His goal is to spread joy and curate unforgettable experiences for his audience, all while maintaining a respectful and grounded approach. ‘Deep Voice’ gets the release on the move, opening with a classic 909 arrangement that is accompanied by warm keys and rhythmic, tribal percussions. The keys envelop the body and soul beautifully as a soulful bassline forces you to move. On the break, a meaningful spoken vocal provides an intriguing narrative which leads to a superb virtuoso on the Rhodes Piano that gives the track a unique flavour. Outstanding grooves, and a must have. ‘Disappear’ concludes the release, opening with a dreamy chord and subby bass combo. Crispy hats and punchy beats come through alongside bright xylophone notes as various percussions layer up to deliver an infectious dancey sequence. A cool spoken vocal narrates as the hypnotic nature of the groove continues to lock us in. Top-notch, not to be missed.
