Originating from the vibrant music scene of Manchester, UK, iMarcus debuts on Piston Recordings with the superb ‘Something About You’. Both a dedicated DJ and skilled producer, iMarcus’ passion lies in exploring diverse music genres, seamlessly transitioning between Deep House, House, Nu Disco, and Techno. Like many artists in the industry, his ultimate goal is to become a household name, recognized for the contributions to the music world. With each new production, he strives for continuous improvement, honing his craft and pushing creative boundaries. Since 2017, he’s been fortunate to see his tracks signed by esteemed labels such as Antarctic Records, BBop Music, Phunk Traxx, and Maintain, among others. While his focus remains on securing more signings for upcoming productions, he also plans to share mix sessions in the near future. Great to have him on board.

The Original Mix gets us moving with a fine display of organic percussions that are joined by chunky beats and deep, warming chords. A subby bassline shores up the low-end as trippy sequences play out alongside sultry vocals. On the break, spacey FX and colourful riffs create a surreal vibe before the main groove kick back in for the duration. A top-notch cut and a must have. We welcome Portuguese DJ and producer Miguel Palhares back to the label with a solid remix which follows his last effort with ‘Take Control’. An exceptional talent we’re always delighted to see. On the remix here, Miguel lays out a contrasting groove made up of smooth vibes, soulful moments gritty, effervescent synths. Tight beats, crispy hats and rhythmic percussions move your feet as a rumbling bassline bubbles up from the depths. Perfect late-night fodder for the dancefloor.
