Renowned Portuguese DJ and producer Mario Franca graces Piston Recordings once again with his latest gem, the impressive two-track offering titled ‘Albatroz’. Mario's journey in the music scene commenced in 1995, where he swiftly gained prominence spinning records at premier clubs and parties across Portugal. Since his debut in production in 2007, he has cultivated a formidable repertoire brimming with exquisite grooves. Possessing a seasoned artistry distinguished by his distinct style, we’re delighted to welcome him back for another stellar release.

‘Albatroz’ opens the release, carving out a solid groove filled with tight beats and an infectious dancey vibe. Punchy kicks and sharp hats combine as a plucky, impactful bassline gets to work. Cool vocals litter the sound creating a deep mood while atmospheric pads with melodic undertones rise up to form the core of the groove. Delicate note stabs break through the thick layers building anticipation. A top-notch slice that is not to be missed. The release concludes with ‘Moana’ which opens with a chunky kick and sharp clap. Striking hats come through alongside a rich, captivating vocal. Melodic patterns fade up, caressing the groove with charm and emotion to create a wholly inviting atmosphere. The light mood in the groove is complimented by a warm subby bassline that weaves effortlessly through the sound. Topped off with a bright melodic arpeggio, this one is a must have, no doubt.
