Italian artist Luca La Greca aka Lucalag, makes a welcome return to Piston Recordings with the mesmerizing ‘Dream Sequence’ which follows hot on the heels of his superb debut slice 'Waves EP'. Discovering his passion for DJing at just 18 years old, Luca immersed himself in the realms of deep house and house music, swiftly captivating audiences and peers alike with his distinctive style. From renowned Italian clubs like La Casa Sul Flume to Syncopate, Le Folies du Plaisir, and Colazione da Tiffany, Luca's artistry flourished in vibrant nightlife settings. Since 2020, he's been making waves in the music scene, delivering top-notch productions on esteemed labels such as DHF Records, Houph, Cross Land Music, Moiss Music Black, M-Soi Records, and Oh So Coy Records. Great to see him back once again.

‘Dream Sequence’ opens the release and sets the mood beautifully with a smooth deep house joint. Classic 909 drums and hats greet us on the intro as rhythmic percussions stack up. A soft piano chord appears, casting a warm glow over the groove before a thick and groovy bassline melody joins in. The track evolves effortlessly as delicate notes and enchanting voices combine to create a wonderfully mesmerizing experience. ‘Nova Beat’ concludes this release opening with a vibrant drum pattern that carries a tribal vibe. Classic chord stabs are joined by a dancey analogue bassline before warm notes join in on the groove. Sweeping melodic pads create a euphoric vibe as subtle 303 lines add a spicey layer to the sound. Beautifully crafted and deftly executed, this one is not to be missed.
