We welcome the exceptionally talented HUGEhands back to Piston Recordings as he takes us into 2024 with the superb ‘Get Out Of Here’. Hailing from the vibrant city of Bristol, his musical journey began with a fervent passion for dance music, navigating the 90s scene in pursuit of the next unforgettable field rave. His early years were dedicated to mastering the art of DJing, earning him opportunities to showcase his skills at top-tier venues. As he seamlessly transitioned into the realm of electronic music production, HUGEhands demonstrated a remarkable aptitude, reflected in an impressive release count that has garnered attention in just a few short years. This one follows his last effort here with a solid remix on Col Lawton’s ‘Into The Dark’. Always great to see him back at PR.

We begin with the title track, ‘Get Out Of Here’ which lifts the spirits with a feisty, upbeat Chicago style house groove. Chunky beats and slicing hi hats lead the way as rhythmic percussions build. At the heart of the track, an infectious bassline resides, carrying us onto the dancefloor where sweet vibes ring out thanks to classy vocals and delicate melodies. A toe-tapper for sure, this one is a definite must have. ‘Boomerang’ concludes the release, opening with a solid, pumping 909 and spritely hi hat combo. Cool FX build up as percussion layers form before a deep, subby bassline rocks the low-end. Swirling pads add an uplifting vibe alongside catchy vocal shots. The groove intensifies with cosmic sounds filling out the spectrum, adding to the surreal nature of the groove. Top-notch dancefloor material, not to be missed
