Leko On Pluto aka Siyabonga Dube debuts on Piston Recordings with Her Kiss EP. A musical journey tracing all the way back to as early as 2007, Leko started making music at the tender age of 14, highly inspired by great music producers such as DJ Cleo, Black Coffee, DJ Clock & Kent to name a few. Growth was more developed by listening to various compilations on circulation at the time by the likes of DJ Fresh, Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Terrance, DJ Claude & Glen Lewis which inspired a much deeper and soulful tone on the horizon for Leko. Fascinated by Space and Galactic sounds, Leko’s sound is also shaped around an unearthly feel, creating a manifestation of a place eyes can’t see but can feel. A pleasure to have him on board.

Her Kiss is a deep, smooth production, focused on the ethereal. A mid-tempo slice, the drums and percussions roll out a tight rhythmic flow. Deep, subby basses add depth alongside spacey synths and FX for an off-world experience which is typical of a Leko On Pluto production. The groove remains firmly within deep house and will most definitely get the floors moving.

In Like intros with an intriguing build up, filled with sporadic percussions, pulsing synths and white noise. A solid kick drum comes through, leading us down a deep and murky path to the cosmos. Truly hypnotic and infectious, the sounds and FX make up a surreal groove alongside a very subtle yet impactful droning bassline. In a darkened room, late into the night, just as you start to mellow, this is the perfect track, not to be missed.

Stay Tru opens with a blippy sequence straight out of an early sci-fi movie score. Analogue style bass notes dance up and down the scale as a warm, deep house inspired chord pad rises up. A beautifully crafted drum sequence, made up of broken beats and rhythmic percussions, takes over, getting us moving on the floor. Groovy vocals add character to the sound, enhancing the infectious nature of the track. An epic slice that will not disappoint.
