Piston Recordings is delighted to welcome Buenos Aires-based DJ and producer Gus Jerez back to the label with his latest offering, 'The Journey'. Since 2020, Gus has been consistently delivering a string of remarkable releases across various labels, earning multiple features on Beatport and solidifying his reputation for top-tier productions. We're thrilled to have him back on board at Piston, and we hope to hear more captivating releases from him in the future.

‘Understand This’ opens the release offering up a smooth and highly infectious groove made up of tight beats, crispy sharp hats and rhythmic percussions. Swirling pads add warm atmospheres as plucky sequences deliver hip shakin’ goodness. Deep basses shore up the low-end creating depth and warmth while cool spoken vocals litter the sound. Top-notch stuff, no to be missed. Rounding out the release, ‘Home’ keeps us on the dancefloor with a sublime groove filled with warm chords captivating melodies that dominate the break. Punchy kicks and spritely hi hats are joined by creative percussion patterns that force you to move. A groovy, minimalist bassline ensures a dancey workout and makes this one an absolute must have.
