We welcome Lesego Rabayne back at Piston Recordings with the superb ‘Voodoo’. Emerging from the vibrant South African music scene, this young producer has carved a sturdy niche for himself, amassing acclaim for his unique brand of deep house. His sonic endeavours have graced esteemed labels including Deep House Cats SA, Plastic City FX, Society 3.0, Batavia Records, and AfroMove Music. As a beacon within the realm of deep, minimalist soundscapes, his compositions resonate as a wellspring of inspiration. We're delighted to have him back once again.

The Original Mix opens the release with an inviting kick and hi hat combo. Warm piano chords fade up, sending waves of nostalgic house vibes through the spectrum. A plucky bassline adds the funk as sweeping strings come through. Short, impactful vocal shots stack up alongside striking stabs to create an infectious groove. Sublime stuff that is not to be missed. The Groovy Mix rounds out the release, offering up a deeper interpretation that is pleasing to the ear and the dancefloor. Nice and chunky beats align with crispy hats and organic vinyl crackle. Warm chords fade up along with short vocal hits and hi strings. The groove takes us deep, allowing us to lose ourselves if just for a few moments. Perfect fodder for the late-night session.
